Drug trafficking and possession charges in Ohio drug raid

A raid on a house on Wakefield Drive in Akron, Ohio, led to the arrests of two men by the area's drug task force. Police say that they seized heroin in the form of bricks and black balls. According to court records, the heroin was valued at $240,000. Equipment for mixing and packaging drugs was also in the home.

Ohio woman accused of drug possession, trafficking

A Loveland woman has been charged with using and selling drugs as well as child endangerment. The woman was arrested on Feb. 26 after police received a tip from a South Lebanon White Castle customer that she seemed impaired while at the fast-food restaurant.

Woman accused of possession after drug seized

On Feb. 20, it was reported that Ohio authorities seized drugs, a gun and cash in a home raid. According to the director of the task force in charge of the raid, the search warrant was served at a home located in the 9000 block of Elkton Road in Lisbon.

15 people indicted for alleged drug conspiracy

On Feb. 12, prosecutors in Ohio announced that 15 people were being indicted for allegedly running a fraudulent drug prescription ring. The 206-count indictment was a result of a purported prescription drug scheme that the defendants had been involved in between December 2012 and October 2014. Some of the charges in the indictment included drug possession, drug trafficking, conspiracy, theft and deception to obtain a dangerous drug.

Motorist arrested on drug charges

On Nov. 13, the Ohio Highway Patrol performed a traffic stop that resulted in a motorist being charged with multiple felony drug offenses. The traffic stop occurred on the southbound side of Interstate 75 nearby Troy. The statement issued by police the next day claimed that the vehicle was initially pulled over for following too close on the interstate. However, troopers claim to have picked up the scent of burnt marijuana as they approached the vehicle.

Ohio man facing felony drug charges after traffic stop

Law enforcement officials took a 29-year-old man into custody after they allegedly discovered a significant quantity of marijuana in his vehicle. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the discovery was made during an Oct. 17 traffic stop on Interstate 71. The 29-year-old man, a Cincinnati resident, is facing felony charges of drug trafficking and drug possession.

Search of residence leads to drug charges

A woman in Ohio was taken into custody on Sept. 5 after police raided her home in Huntington. A drug task force and the Huntington Police Department's Special Emphasis Unit reportedly obtained a search warrant before they detained the woman at her residence that afternoon. She faces a charge for possession with intent to sell a controlled substance, and she was held at Western Regional Jail on a $30,000 bond.
