2 officers dragged as suspect attempts to flee

If an officer asks you to pull over, the best thing you can do is to follow directions. If you don't, you could end up getting yourself into more trouble than if you had just listened to begin with.

Take, for example, this case out of Cleveland. Two officers ended up in a dangerous situation when they attempted to remove a passenger from a stopped vehicle. The driver did not want them to remove the passenger and attempted to flee.

As the driver pressed the gas, he dragged the two officers along with the vehicle. The passenger, a 19-year-old man, was being arrested for a felony warrant when the driver attempted to flee. The driver was also wanted on a felony warrant, they later discovered. After initially leaving the scene, the officers were able to track and locate the vehicle afterward. Both teens ended up arrested.

Cases like this one show how important it is for you to follow directions and stay at the scene if you're pulled over. Even if there is a warrant for your arrest, going with the police willingly puts you in a better light than fleeing or potentially harming another person would.

Your attorney can help you fight any charges against you, but it's up to you to make the process as easy as possible. By avoiding violating any further laws or injuring officials, you can save yourself a lot of trouble. Remember, your reputation will speak volumes about you in court, so you don't want to start off on the wrong foot with the judge.
