You politely decline but the individual continues to persist and perhaps even attempts to intimidate you. Finally, you agree because maybe you are mildly curious about the drug or maybe you simply wish to end the interaction as cleanly as possible.

Suspects nabbed in Ohio animal shelter thefts

Two Ohio men are facing charges in connection with a series of animal shelter burglaries across the state. The charges were filed in Morrow County on March 20. According to the Morrow County Sheriff's Office, the men are thought to be responsible for at least 16 animal shelter break-ins since Jan. 9. Authorities said money was the main target of the thefts. The Morrow County Dog Shelter, the Medina County Animal Shelter, the Huron County Humane Society and the Wayne County Humane Society were among the facilities burglarized.

Drug trafficking and possession charges in Ohio drug raid

A raid on a house on Wakefield Drive in Akron, Ohio, led to the arrests of two men by the area's drug task force. Police say that they seized heroin in the form of bricks and black balls. According to court records, the heroin was valued at $240,000. Equipment for mixing and packaging drugs was also in the home.

Ohio woman accused of drug possession, trafficking

A Loveland woman has been charged with using and selling drugs as well as child endangerment. The woman was arrested on Feb. 26 after police received a tip from a South Lebanon White Castle customer that she seemed impaired while at the fast-food restaurant.

Ohio woman faces drug charges following vehicle search

A 23-year-old Ohio woman was taken in police custody on Jan. 2 after authorities accused her of attempting to hide drug paraphernalia in a vehicle, according to news sources. The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on North Gettysburg Avenue in Dayton. Officers were reportedly sitting in the parking lot finishing some paperwork when a vehicle that was deemed suspicious parked nearby. The officers reported that when they approached the vehicle, the driver agreed to a vehicle search. Officers then reportedly observed the accused woman attempt to hide drug paraphernalia between the seat.

Ohio man faces drug-related felonies in overdose case

A 24-year-old Ohio man is facing multiple felony charges after police allege he was responsible for supplying the heroin that led to the overdose of a 46-year-old man on Sept. 27. On that day, a 29-year-old woman found the man on his front porch around 1 p.m. He was unconscious, and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

School teacher faces federal drug charges

On Nov. 25, an elementary teacher in Ohio was arrested for her alleged involvement in federal drug crimes. The superintendent claimed that the Valley Forge Elementary employee was put on paid leave since the start of school year for unrelated reasons. According to the office of the attorney general, the 30-year-old teacher and an accomplice were charged with conspiracy to commit an offense, use of communication device in furtherance of a drug conspiracy and conspiracy to traffic in drugs.

2 charged with drug trafficking and possession after traffic stop

On Oct. 4, two people were taken into custody after troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol found crack cocaine on one of the individuals after conducting a traffic stop. The two individuals were identified as a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman.

Search of residence leads to drug charges

A woman in Ohio was taken into custody on Sept. 5 after police raided her home in Huntington. A drug task force and the Huntington Police Department's Special Emphasis Unit reportedly obtained a search warrant before they detained the woman at her residence that afternoon. She faces a charge for possession with intent to sell a controlled substance, and she was held at Western Regional Jail on a $30,000 bond.

Ohio man faces drug charges after 2-vehicle collision

A 32-year-old Ohio man who was accused of being involved in a collision at a Dayton intersection was taken into custody and charged with drug-related offenses on Aug. 30. According to the report, the collision took place at the Hoover Avenue and North Gettysburg Avenue intersection at approximately 10 a.m.
