Ohio woman accused of drug possession, trafficking

A Loveland woman has been charged with using and selling drugs as well as child endangerment. The woman was arrested on Feb. 26 after police received a tip from a South Lebanon White Castle customer that she seemed impaired while at the fast-food restaurant.

With a description of the van and its license plate number, deputies reportedly saw her vehicle leaving the parking lot when they reached the restaurant. They conducted a traffic stop on Corwin Nixon Boulevard and say that the woman looked as though she was impaired and had slurred speech. The woman's 4-year-old son was in the van with her. She allegedly told authorities that she was tired and permitted the deputies to search her van. During the search, the officials reported the seizure of dozens of hydrocodone, oxycodone, busipirone, diazepam and clonazepam pills. Additionally, the van allegedly contained one kilogram of heroin and syringes.

Deputies say the woman's son told them that his mother was taking and selling pills. When confronted about this, the woman allegedly confessed that she took the pills from her father. They also claim that she admitted to using and selling heroin the day that they searched her van. She was taken to Warren County Jail on more than $1 million bond for several possession and drug trafficking charges a well as child endangerment.

Individuals who face drug possession and trafficking charges also face harsh penalties. While the potential consequences include jail time and fines, the defendants could also lose custody of any children involved if they are convicted. The accused could hire attorneys to help them protect their rights while they remain in police custody. The attorneys may obtain the help of private investigators to invalidate the evidence that authorities gathered.
