7 individuals face cocaine conspiracy indictment in Ohio

In August 2011, an individual who was cooperating with the Cleveland Police Department reported to detectives some information related to the Club Sin in Cleveland, which is now closed down. According to court papers, the information alleged that the owners of the club had been selling cocaine at the club and getting drugs from Florida and Chicago suppliers.

15 people indicted for alleged drug conspiracy

On Feb. 12, prosecutors in Ohio announced that 15 people were being indicted for allegedly running a fraudulent drug prescription ring. The 206-count indictment was a result of a purported prescription drug scheme that the defendants had been involved in between December 2012 and October 2014. Some of the charges in the indictment included drug possession, drug trafficking, conspiracy, theft and deception to obtain a dangerous drug.

Police seize 19 pounds of marijuana from Ohio home

A husband and wife are facing criminal charges after a significant quantity of marijuana was discovered in their home on Feb. 3. The 45-year-old man and 47-year-old woman each received two counts for possession of marijuana along with two counts for drug trafficking. It is unclear what evidence led authorities to target the couple's home for a search and seizure.

Felony charges added to Ohio man's case

An Akron, Ohio, man has been accused of harassing perceived enemies, dispatching prostitutes solicited on the Internet to neighbors' homes and sending sexually explicit images to employees of his court-ordered drug treatment program. The man originally pleaded guilty to 22 felony and misdemeanor counts but later recanted and persuaded the judge to allow the case to proceed in open court. A subsequent grand jury handed two more felony counts and two additional misdemeanors.
