Ohio man faces drug-related felonies in overdose case

A 24-year-old Ohio man is facing multiple felony charges after police allege he was responsible for supplying the heroin that led to the overdose of a 46-year-old man on Sept. 27. On that day, a 29-year-old woman found the man on his front porch around 1 p.m. He was unconscious, and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Ohio representative-elect faces burglary charges

An Ohio lawmaker has recently been accused of burglary, and as a result, he is facing various felony charges related to the alleged incident. According to sources, the man won a state election to earn a seat in the House of Representatives in November 2014. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in Ottawa County on Dec. 11.

Authorities take 25 into custody on drug charges

Several individuals wanted in connection with an Ohio drug ring were taken into custody as part of a joint investigation between local police and the FBI. Authorities say that 18 people were indicted on a federal level while 37 more were indicted on a state level. Of those indicted on the federal level, 12 were in police custody while 13 individuals wanted at the state level were in custody.

911 callers face drug charges in Ohio case

Two men who called 911 as a group of people allegedly attempted to steal their drugs and money are now facing charges along with those who were involved in the attempted robbery. The incident occurred in Mentor at an apartment complex. The men reportedly made their call upon seeing the masked individuals. The alleged robbers later fled in an automobile as officials arrived on the scene.

School teacher faces federal drug charges

On Nov. 25, an elementary teacher in Ohio was arrested for her alleged involvement in federal drug crimes. The superintendent claimed that the Valley Forge Elementary employee was put on paid leave since the start of school year for unrelated reasons. According to the office of the attorney general, the 30-year-old teacher and an accomplice were charged with conspiracy to commit an offense, use of communication device in furtherance of a drug conspiracy and conspiracy to traffic in drugs.
