Felony charges have been filed against Ohio man and woman

On Behalf of | Aug 28, 2013 | Felonies, Other Crimes

A Circle K in the Ohio town of Chillicothe was robbed on Aug. 21. Two days later, a man and a woman brandished a weapon at a home on Ohio 138 in Ross County. Two people are now facing felony charges in connection with these two instances.

Video surveillance from the Circle K shows a man with a gun demanding money and cigarettes. Footage indicates the man fled from the convenience store in a late-model Cadillac or Lincoln Town Car with four doors that was dark in color. The car is also said to have had a “semicircular spare tire” in the lid of the deck.

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office received information from an unknown source that the vehicle they were looking for was on its way to a suburb of Dayton called Kettering. Kettering police pulled over and arrested the couple now in custody. They have been charged with crimes in connection with the stop, the episode on Ohio 138, and the robbery at the Circle K in Chillicothe.

Police have yet to indicate what makes them so sure that this pair was involved in the crimes for which they currently face felony charges. The video footage was not conclusive regarding the vehicle identification. It will be up to authorities to prove to the court that this man and this woman are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the crimes with which they are charged. Conversely, both parties have the right to review and refute all of the evidence and witness testimony authorities have against them.
